Microsoft has just presented its balance sheet quarterly, fenced on 31
December. A turnover and profits increase, achieved through various
activities, including record sales of the Xbox One.
In the previous quarter, Microsoft introduced a positive balance. Despite
changes of direction and produce less sold than expected turnover (of 18.53
billion dollars) and profit (of 5.24 billion) were up over the same period
2012.
The highly anticipated quarterly balance sheet remained the closed end of
December next as it integrates the Xbox Onegames console
sales.
Microsoft just published and it turns out to be very good for the
group.
Indeed, turnover of 24.52 billion increased by 14% over the
same period to 2012. The benefit was also increased - from 3% - reaching 7.9
billion. Very good results, higher than estimated and actual results through
various activities.
The devices sector is up 13% and represents
11.91 billion, or about half of the total turnover. Specifically, revenues from
tablets Surface increased widely from 400 million in the previous
quarter, to $ 893 million.
Advertising revenue from the search engine,
Bing, also rose, up to 34%.
Not to mention the very good launch
of the console games Xbox One. At December 31, Microsoft recorded 3.9
million consoles sold and 3.5 million Xbox 360.
Furthermore, the
commercial service has progressed to the quarter of 10% and
achieved a turnover of 12.7 billion dollars.
Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft,
said that "investments (we) do in the devices and services that offer valuable
experiences to (our) customers, and the work (we) do so with (our) partners (US)
lead to solid results and (we) put in a good position for long term growth.»
The next CEO, which is still not identified, will benefit from a better
position than a few months ago.
