Four days after be inclined to Bastia in the League (1-0), the Girondins have experienced a new disappointment Wednesday evening at the Mezzavia D'ajaccio stage, well filled for the occasion. Opposed to Ile Rousse, Petit Poucet of the Coupe de France and 5th in Group E of CFA 2, men of Francis Gillot, who had won the 2013 facing Evian TG, leave the competition as soon as the final 16th after a pitiful elimination in the penalty shootout (0-0, 4 AET-3).
After three defeats in a week (against Toulouse and PSG in the League at Chaban-Delmas Cup and thus to Furiani Saturday), Bordeaux coach had finally gave up, despite the absence of Guillaume Hoarau, to play the young Enzo Crivelli (18) points, while he had to deal with injured Ludovic Obraniak in the warm-up, Mariano starting in a relatively traditional starting lineup.
But the Girondins, abusing long balls, have never failed to make the difference against the Corsicans and their goalkeeper Florent Menozzi, whose brothers Dimitri and Dominique were also holders Wednesday night. Inevitable, the extension gave nothing, forcing both teams tie in the penalty shootout. Florent Menozzi was first ruled out attempting to David Bellion, before that Cédric Carrasso saved once again his own by delaying the deadline on a shot of one of the brothers Menozzi (Dominica). But it is the Corsican doorman who had the last word and his qualified for the knockout stages by stopping the typing of Lamine Sane. Prepare the Spain. This is probably the master-word for a Claude Onesta who would still prefer that his team finished with a 6 of 6 in the phase of hens this is which is never unpleasant. He asked his players to take this match 'like a life-size training", he was not disappointed. Dominating early, PSG has created many dangerous situations before the purpose of pioneer, by Lucas (3rd), (8th) Verratti and Matuidi (14th), and even scored a valid goal by worthy that the referees trio curiously nullified for offside (11th). Well organised in defence, the MHSC first poorly operated its rare balls of however, the image of Cabella (19th), but suddenly Frank has Siaka Tiene has found the head of Daniel Congré, top scorer of the evening against Nicolas Douchez, released a hair too late (20th). When Paris was equalized by Cavani to receipt of a centre of Digne, well offset by Pastore (30th), a reversal of trend scenario seemed to draw. But Cavani missed before the empty goal the consersion of a double opportunity Pastore - Lucas (32nd). This was the turning point of the match.
