Who will succeed Bernard Barbier at the head of the DGSE? The current Director of the ANSSI, Patrick Pailloux, would be approached.
While he is currently the Director of the National Agency for the security of Information systems (ANSSI) since 2009, Patrick Pailloux could well change position by becoming the Technical Director of the Directorate General of external security (DGSE) as a replacement for Bernard Barbier.
Indeed, the position is vacant since Bernard Barbier decided to serve as Advisor on the subjects of cybersecurity and cyber for the SSII Sogeti.
Quoting Ministerial sources, Le Monde says that it is Patrick Pailloux which should pick up this position at the expense of Philippe Duluc, Director of the safety of Bull, or internal application to the DGSE.
Reminder, as that Director ANSSI, Patrick Pailloux was able to know his agency among professionals of the branch, but also with the media, especially at Bercy piracy in 2011.
