The music streaming market has an actor more. Since Tuesday, U.S. Internet users have access to Beats Music, a new music service online. If it looks like outline competing platforms, Beats Music has to stand out by offering recommendations based on the tastes and desires of the listener.
This custom listening is truly the highlight of Beats Music. To obtain musical suggestions, the user must fill a text to holes to help the service to compose a list of adapted reading (where the listener is located, that is what he feels, it comes and what kind wish to listen to). Each time, several responses are proposed.
Beats Music recommendations are based not only on algorithms. There's also an editorial carried by the staff work. This is what gave Trent Reznor in 2012: "there is a real value in trust filters. It is as having its own guide, when you go to a record store, who knows what you like but can also take you through paths that you would not necessarily borrowed."
Beats Music relies on the Beats Electronics brand, found on audio headsets, headphones and speakers. Founded by the rapper and hip hop producer Dr. Dre, the company employs the technology of streaming MOG platform, which was bought for less than $ 10 million in 2012.
For the rest, Beats Music fits in line with the competition. The main subscription is charged 9.99 Euro per month. The service is accessible from a traditional web browser, but since a mobile application (iOS, Android and Windows Phone, this last being laid down on 24 January). For the time being, no European launch is on the programme.
